Oreo® Fluff Pudding Recipe

Oreo® Fluff Pudding Recipe
Salad bars at chain restaurants often feature a fluffy pudding full of chocolate sandwich cookies and lots of fluffy frozen whipped topping. Because there is really nothing to compare it to, people seem to love it. There are dozens of recipes for Oreo® Fluff on the internet (some recipes call it a “salad” which is a sick joke), and almost all of them include what I consider one of the worst food crimes in modern history – frozen whipped topping. Not only is this vile concoction extra sweet, but it is made of all kinds of unpronounceable chemicals and not any real foodstuffs. Instant pudding is another one of the ingredients, and is not only convenient, but has improved over the years – it’s not as good as homemade, but still tastes good. It is much better when lightened with real heavy cream, and the following version of Oreo® Fluff Pudding is not only less sweet, but is actually quite delicious.

16 Servings

2 3 oz. packages cheesecake flavored instant pudding (or substitute white chocolate instant pudding)
4 cups milk

2 cups heavy whipping cream

14 ounces chocolate sandwich cookies, such as Oreos, coarsely crushed

  1. Place the instant pudding and milk in a blender container; blend until smooth and immediately pour into a serving bowl.
  2. Chill until set (it should set almost immediately and will definitely be set by the time the remaining ingredients are ready to be folded in). If no blender is available, whisk the pudding until smooth.
  3. Whip the heavy cream until it forms stiff peaks; fold into the pudding along with the sandwich cookies.
  4. Cover and chill for up to 24 hours.
